MESA Europe Summit

GeoGuard will be presenting a session on “How to Stop Geo-Piracy and Geolocation Fraud via VPNs and DNS Proxies” at the MESA Europe Content Protection Summit, London on November 14th in London, UK.

GeoGuard’s Alastair Campbell, Commercial and Product Marketing Manager, will detail how the widespread use of geolocation spoofing and the resultant growth in geo-piracy via VPNs and DNS Proxies undermines the territorial business model that content owners and distribution rightsholders rely on for revenue.

During his presentation, he’ll discuss the extent of the problem and outline some of the steps that can be taken, and the technologies that can be employed, to prevent this activity, which is causing untold damage to the industry as a whole.

If you’re attending the MESA Europe event, make sure to stop by our session. If you’re not and would like to learn more about our solution for protecting content owners and rightsholders from geolocation spoofing and geo-piracy,  just email us at solutions@geoguard.com and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you.

About GeoGuard

At GeoGuard, we focus solely on geolocation-based security and protection of digital content. As the only independently rated market leader for protection against VPNs and DNS Proxies and Hollywood Studio Approved solution, we help the OTT ecosystem stop geo-piracy and ensure rightsholders are receiving the full value for their content. For example, prior to implementing GeoGuard, we identified up to 70% of connections to one of our customer’s OTT sites as coming from VPNs.

GeoGuard provides a suite of geo-filtering solutions combined with human intelligence to stop internet users spoofing their location. GeoGuard’s solutions are based on the award-winning geolocation and geo-protection technologies that its parent company GeoComply developed for the highly-regulated and complex digital gaming industry.
